Planned Maintenance Notice: NEW DC Power Grid Maintenance
Energex has advised Mach that it is completing planned power grid capacity increases to the area that provides the primary Mains electricity supply to our Newstead Data Centre (NEW DC).
This work will include Energex interrupting supply of electricity for a period of time. No impact expected to any Mach services at NEW DC, as backup electrical supplies (inc solar, generator and UPS) will operate during the 9 hour maintenance window between the hours of 7.30am to 4.30pm Sunday, 16th December. All other Mach Data Centre sites (across Australia and in the USA) have no scheduled maintenance.
- This is a precautionary notice, it is very unlikely that services will be disrupted but an increased risk exists as the number of active/redundant systems is reduced.
- NEW DC is but one of four Mach Data Centre facilities; no other planned maintenance will be conducted in this window in our other DC locations.
- Mach will have senior and experienced resources onsite at NEW, to monitor electrician works and respond immediately to any issue that may arise.
- Completed by Energex as planned – without incident or any impact on any services.
